Dr. Mark Cassells was raised
in
St. Louis County and spent
much
of his youth
competing in dressage and eventing. He is
a graduate

of Missouri-Columbia.
He is married
to hunter/jumper

and the two have
an extensive menagerie
of animals.
Dr. Cassells usually is accompanied on calls by his rescued dog, Panda.
Dr. Derek Craig grew up in Pinckneyville, Ill., where his parents raised dairy goats, along with hunting beagles and
bird dogs.
Dr. Craig's interest in veterinary medicine was sparked by an incident in which one of the family's bird dogs was hit by a grain truck and was able to be saved.
Both Dr. Craig and his wife, Aarah,
are graduates of the vet school at the University of Missouri-Columbia; Aarah works at the Kirkwood Animal Hospital.
The Craigs have a daughter, Raegan, and their animal family includes two cats.
Dr. Tanya Esther,

of Rushville, Ill.,
was raised around all types of farm animals
in her rural community and
decided at age 6 that she wanted
to be
a vet.
She also is
a graduate
of the University
of Missouri-Columbia; her husband earned a degree in forestry at Mizzou
and started a forestry and wildlife business.Their animal family includes an
