Hospital offers digital radiographs

Homestead Veterinary Hospital has gone digital. After months of evaluating how best
to incorporate digital radiography into a mobile practice with several veterinarians, the hospital has purchased state-of-the-art equipment that will allow each veterinarian to continue taking radiographs in the field when
a problem is first diagnosed.    More



Horse Heroes benefit dinner

More than 320 people attended a fundraiser Nov. 18, 2006, to pay tribute to the veterinarians, horse owners and emergency responders who helped 41 horses and a hinny involved in a trailer accident. More

Barbaro loses battle with laminitis

As Barbaro romped across the finish line of the Kentucky Derby
on May 6, 2006, it looked like nothing could stop the undefeated 3-year-old bay colt. Eight months later, his owners and veterinarian announced to the world through tears that they felt they had no
choice but to put him down.

AHF benefit breaks records,
leaves 'em laughing

The 2007 Animal Health
Foundation benefit broke previous
records in raising money for laminitis
research and gave attendees a
singing finale unlike any previous
party. The event was held Oct. 20,
2007, at the Longview Animal Nutrition Conference Center in Gray Summit. True to tradition, Dr. Chris Pollitt of the University of Queensland attended the event.   More
